Carrol Naish NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the lobby card was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original lobby card (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. Prior to paperbacking, the card was trimmed to 8" x 10", which included most of the image, except for the bottom portion of the image, above Robinson's credit. Overall, the lobby card was in fair condition prior to paperbacking. A talented restorer recreated the missing areas, which include the entire bottom credits area, and the entire left section. They did a nice job, and the card will display well on the new owner's wall, but you can see signs of the restoration, and please bear in mind the extensive restoration this card has had before bidding on it.
