An Original 1953 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B1" Movie Poster (29x41; measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]) (Learn More) The Las Vegas Story (released in Spain simply as "Las Vegas"), the 1952 Robert Stevenson Nevada romantic love triangle crime film noir casino gambling thriller ("Las Vegas... where everybody plays a game! And these two play the oldest game on earth... With a new twist!"; "Hear Jane and Hoagy sing!"; "That Girl... With her a man always runs a risk... But he never runs far!"; "The Loser wins the jackpot... Of bullets... When these two boys fight it out!"; "helicopter attack on a fleeing auto... The most terrifying duel ever waged!"; "Gambling palaces lure thrill-seekers to a world of wild gaiety and revelry!"; produced by Howard Hughes; sort of a Las Vegas version of Casablanca, and it even has Hoagy Carmichael playing a Dooley Wilson-like role!) starring Jane Russell, Victor Mature, Vincent Price, Hoagy Carmichael, and Brad Dexter NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Miya Uchi Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. Not only have we never auctioned one before, we have NEVER auctioned ANY Japanese posters from this title before in all of our years of auctioning! Note also that this is a Japanese "B1" poster that measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a relatively small amount of spotty slight discoloration due to exposure to moisture at lower left. It mostly affects the lower left vertical foldline and some areas near the helicopter, and there are just a few tiny dot stains at upper center. It otherwise is in pretty nice condition, and while the very rare poster could be displayed and enjoyed as is, after a pretty simple linenbacking (at which time the small amount of tiny stains can be removed chemically) it would look fantastic!
