An INCOMPLETE Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 14 1/2" x 40 3/4" [37 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Bob Hope (born Leslie Townes Hope) was an English-born top Hollywood comedian and actor from the 1930s to the 1990s. He was briefly a boxer in his youth (as Packy East), and that is where he acquired his distinctive ski-shaped nose. Some of his movies include: Story of G.I. Joe, The Cat and the Canary, The Ghost Breakers, My Favorite Blonde, and the "Road" movies he made with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour, including Road to Morocco. In spite of his great success, Hope never won an Oscar, although he hosted several of the Oscar telecasts! Hope was also well known outside of movies, especially for his entertaining of U.S. troops overseas, for his charity golf tournament, and his many hostings of the Oscar ceremonies. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 100. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a portion from the three-sheet from "A Global Affair", and which contains solely a fun tagline about Bob Hope) has been personally autographed (signed) by Bob Hope in the lower right! Note that this signed item was consigned to us from the estate of Bob DePietro, who was a very longtime collector/dealer of movie memorabilia. He also worked in the movie business, and had close contact with many celebrities, and acquired many signed items in person. He is no longer with us to tell us how this signed item was acquired, and there is no certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain it is authentic. Condition: fair to good. This is only a portion of a poster, and it has some stains scattered throughout, and it has some tears and pinholes around the edges (see our images).
