A Folded Ukrainian Special Poster (measures 27 1/4" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Gromov Milich (literal translation of the Russian title), the 1923 Ukrainian stage show poster promoting a satirical song and humor comedy act featuring Vladimir Samoilovich Milich and Arkady Mikhailovich Gromov. The Jewish team was formed around 1917 in Odessa and they gained considerable fame in the 1920s and continued the act into the 1940s. Apparently, Milich was the "funny man" and Gromov was the "straight man", similar to classic American comedy teams such as Abbott and Costello.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has creases around the edges and there are some creases and tears at lower right (partially repaired with tape from the back). There are creases along the folds (the poster was hand-folded somewhat oddly at one time) and there are some creases, small tears and pinholes at center (also partially repaired with tape from the back). The very rare Russian poster is otherwise in generally nice condition and while it could be displayed as is, after linenbacking the poster would look great!
