An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 39 1/2" x 77" [100 x 196 cm]) (Learn More) Footlights and Shadows, the 1920 John W. Noble silent theater stage acting romantic melodrama ("By Bradley King") starring Olive Thomas, Alex Onslow, Ivo Dawson, Mr. Farrell, and May Hicks. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that Olive Thomas was the very first "flapper girl", and she led a wild life, and she was married to Jack Pickford, and she died when she was just 25, under depressing circumstances! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, but it would surely be expensive, so bear this in mind before bidding on this poster. Also note this three-sheet poster was only partially folded. This means the poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 22" x 22", so also bear this in mind before bidding on this poster. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Some of these items can ONLY be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. On some of them (for example f it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. In the case of the few items that could be rolled, we will roll the item in a tube if the new owner insists, but only if they accept that they can't return the item if it is damaged from being rolled. So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: poor. The poster was found under a floor and has REALLY significant defects (see our image). If it had not been mounted onto kraft paper (see above), it surely would not have survived at all, but it will be a really major restoration to restore this poster, so bear this in mind before bidding on it.
