De Mille"; about a pretty young telephone operator who listens in on phone conversations, and gets involved in a political scandal and clears the son of a crooked crime boss, and marries him) starring Madge Bellamy (in the title role as the telephone girl!), Holbrook Blinn, Warner Baxter, May Allison, and Lawrence Gray. Note that Warner Baxter was born in 1889, and in the early 1920s he rose to prominence in silent movies, becoming a major star of the 1920s, while he was in his 30s.
