Mason Hopper silent California railroad engineer romantic marriage melodrama ("By Hector Turnbull"; about a young man who wants to build a new railroad through a town, and his own father wants the job instead of him, and he marries a society girl who initially tries to get him to not do the project, but ends up supporting him) starring Cleo Ridgely, Wallace Reid, Joe King (billed as "Joseph King"), Charles Arling, Billy Elmer, Bob Fleming, Edythe Chapman, and Dot Abril. Note that Wallace Reid would become Paramount's top star a couple of years after this movie was made, but at this time, he was second billed to Cleo Ridgely. He appeared with her in seven movies, in 1915 and 1916, but then she got married to director James Horne, and had some children and mostly retired, and of course, Wallace Reid quickly become a top star, but then died in 1923 after becoming addicted to drugs prescribed after an accident on the set of one of his movies. Also note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
