An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 28" x 42") (Learn More)

Wolgast-Nelson Fight Pictures, the 1910 boxing sports poster featuring an image of bare knuckle boxer Battling Nelson in a fight pose! This was the filmed version of the Ad Wolgast and Battling Nelson fight, which took place on February 22, 1910 at Point Richmond, California. Wolgast won the fight which was for the World Lightweight Championship by TKO in round 42. At this time, most major fights were filmed and then were shown in movie theaters around the world, very soon after the fight occurred, for they were EXTREMELY popular, and had very large box office grosses.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 42". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41".

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded in the conventional way, but there are some long scattered creases and folds in the image. There was a 6" tear in the right of the center of the poster and some small tears, smudges, and tiny paper loss around the edges of the poster, and some smudges in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster.
