An Original Vintage (re-titled "Stryker of Scotland Yard") Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded Stock One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Stryker of the Yard (also released as "Stryker of Scotland Yard" and "Scotland Yard Cases"), the 1950s English crime mystery thrillers (created from episodes of the short-lived English television series of the same name, and released in many countries under various titles) starring Clifford Evans (in the title role as Inspector Stryker), George Woodbridge, Jack Watling, Susan Steven, Joan Dowlilng, Patric Doonan, and Fred Berger
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Republic for use for all chapters of their "Stryker of Scotland Yard" serial. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the middle left. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific chapters of the serial, and they could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. There were also stock posters from this serial that were overprinted with the names of the specific chapters, for theaters willing to purchase an entire set of them. This particular stock poster was overprinted with the title "The Case of Diamond Annie". Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great!

Condition: good. After the poster was mounted onto the paper, the borders of the paper were folded over the front of the borders of the poster and glued down. There is a distributor snipe in the upper left corner of the poster. A restorer can remove the poster from the paper and properly linenback it, after which it will look great!
