An Original Vintage Limited Edition French Art Portfolio (entire portfolio measures 20 1/2" x 26"; #528/1000; contains 45 color prints that measure 18 1/2" x 25 1/4", and 45 pages that measure 8 1/4" x 11 3/4") (Learn More) 45 Ans De festival En Affiches (literally translates to "45 Years of Festival Posters"), the 1991 French limited edition portfolio featuring 45 full-color reproductions of posters promoting the Cannes Film Festival from 1946 to 1991, as well as 45 individual pages with cast, crew and film information for the festivals. This is really wonderful! Each of the posters are exact replicas of the original Cannes posters from those years, and they are printed on a quality paper stock (and are very suitable for framing). They come in an elaborate hard case portfolio that has strings to tie it with. On the inside front cover of the portfolio is a pocket that holds the 45 individual pages, and each page has information about each year's festival and all the films that were nominated and shown on the front and back of each sheet. It was an incredibly elaborate limited edition of 1,000 copies, and we don't know what it sold for when it first came out, but somebody spent a fortune creating it! Important Added Info: Note: We have 37 images of the items in this set (the posters are photographed two to each of our images, and the small pages are photographed eight to each of our images (front and back), with everything contained in the portfolio photographed, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 37 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 27. Condition: very good.
