An Original Vintage Folded Dutch World War II Poster (measures 34 1/2" x 46 1/2" [88 x 118 cm]) (Learn More) Meldt u Aan Voor Werk in Duitschland (literally translates to "Register for Work in Germany"), the 1942 Dutch World War II (WWII) poster (with a tagline that translates to "Young making way for the elderly!") created by the Nazi German-occupying forces to encourage Dutch men to seek work in Germany, and featuring art of smiling workers. Note that because Germany had a massive labor shortage since almost all of their young men were serving in their military, they brought in workers from countries they had occupied. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has patches of slight discoloration at upper right, upper left and in the man's hand at left (see our image). It has a few creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges (some are slightly larger) and some separation at the bottom vertical foldline and several of those defects are backed by conservation tape. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a pretty simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
