An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The City Gone Wild, the 1927 James Cruze silent romantic love triangle underworld gang crime murder lawyer legal melodrama (a story that was likely old in 1927, but always enjoyable, about a lawyer who defends top criminals, but then, when his friend is murdered by them, he decides to go after the crooks!) starring Thomas Meighan, Marietta Millner, Louise Brooks, Fred Kohler, Duke Martin, and Nancy Philips. Note that this movie is largely forgotten today, except by major film buffs. Even then, it is best remembered for having an early film appearance by cult star Louise Brooks. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We had only previously auctioned four lobby cards and a still from this movie (and NO other movie paper), and NONE of those showed Louise Brooks until we received this exact lobby card in 2020, which is one of the only two in the set that shows Louise Brooks (and she is not on the title card)! That card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of it we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. There are a few faint smudges in the blank borders and slight darkening on the back of the edges of the borders. Otherwise, the card is in exceptional condition! Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
