Police Mondaine (literally translates to "Socialite Police"), the 1937 Michel Bernheim & Christian Chamborant French crime thriller melodrama starring Charles Vanel, Alice Field, Pierre Larquey, Jean-Louis Barrault, Abel Jacquin, Camille Bert, Jean Cyrano, Jean Servais, Helene Pepee, Andre Roanne, and Junie Astor. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that at first glance, this poster would appear to be from the 1937 first French release, but we did considerable research on it, and it seems that Films J. Sefert released it in 1937, and that Francinex (the distributor on this poster) released it directly after the war, likely in 1946. The IMDb has different information, but we think they are simply wrong. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Note that French posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in France, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare French poster that is likely from 1946, which we have never auctioned before. Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie!
