An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Jeanne Crain was born in California in 1925. She went to UCLA and studied acting, and at 18 was given a bit part in a Fox movie, and was signed to a studio contract. By the following year she was a star! She made 23 films for Fox over 10 years, and some of her movies include: Pinky (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), A Letter to Three Wives, Leave Her to Heaven, People Will Talk, Cheaper by the Dozen, and State Fair. She passed away in 2003 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a real mystery! It is from when Crain made the movie "Margie" in 1946, but why Zanuck is credited, and why it is a "mock up" is really odd. We know that Crain worked with Zanuck on two movies, in 1944 and 1945, and then others later, but he is not credited as having worked on "Margie", so we wonder if maybe this was something he made as a gift for her on the first film she made after they had worked together. Note that the inset photo at top right shows Crain with Alan Young, and that it has "Roy" under it, which was Young's character's name in the movie. If anyone knows more about this still, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: good to very good. There is an embossed foreign stamp in the lower right that is dated "1950-51", but we believe that is solely from when the still was used in Denmark, and that the still dates from 1946 . There are pinholes in the corners. Learn More about condition grades
