Note that this movie was decades ahead of its time in its approach to crime solving, and many consider it the first movie to thoroughly utilize "C.S.I." techniques in solving a murder. Both director John Sturges and co-screenwriter Richard Brooks would go on to long and illustrious careers, making many movies that are highly regarded! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this daybill was used by The Orpheum theater in Sydney, Australia that originally opened in 1935! The theater featured art deco design, two levels and seating for 1735. The theater was sold in the 1970s and converted into a shopping center. Luckily, in 1986, it was lovingly restored and re-opened as the Hayden Orpheum! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There is a theater snipe glued across the top of the poster that adds approximately 3 1/2" to the overall height of the poster (the poster was not trimmed and the snipe could surely be removed by a professional restorer, or talented amateur, if one chose to do so). There are some creases throughout the poster and there is some tattering and small paper loss around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
