An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More) Zaza, the 1939 George Cukor France romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by Pierre Berton and Charles Simon"; about a sexy singer in a French music hall who falls in love with a married aristocrat; Colbert plays a part that five years before would surely have been played by Marlene Dietrich!) starring Claudette Colbert (in the title role as Zaza), Herbert Marshall, Bert Lahr, Helen Westley, Constance Collier, Genevieve Tobin, Walter Catlett, and Ann Todd (not the famous actress, but a child actress with the same name, who was the fourth cousin of the wife of Abraham Lincoln!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of Herbert Marshall relaxing on the set, having tea with Andre Charlot, who the still notes, was often called "the Ziegfeld of England", who had been brought in to direct the musical sequences of this movie! Also note that there is information about the still printed on the back. There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "CREDIT WILL BE APPRECIATED PARAMOUNT PHOTO BY MALCOLM BULLOCH". The still measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", but it does not appear to be trimmed. Condition: very good to fine. There are a very few faint emulsion scuffs scattered around the edges of the still, but they are truthfully not at all noticeable except when the still is tilted to the light.
