A Set of 3 Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Posters (measure 20" x 27 1/4" [51 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Plattsburg, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("Are you trained to do your share?"; "Are you trained to defend your country?"; "The Minute Men of to-day are going to Plattsburg") encouraging people to join volunteer pre-enlistment military training camps. The largest and best known camp was near Plattsburgh, New York. Note that the Plattsburgh in New York was named after Zephaniah Platt in 1785, and that over the years, it has often been misspelled as "Plattsburg", as it is in these posters (in fact, there is a Plattsburg, Missouri, that is named after the New York Plattsburgh, and that city's name was misspelled). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. The posters were never folded. All three have tears and paper loss around the edges and all have some tears going into the images and tape repairs on the back. Please look at our super-sized image to get a good sense of the exact condition of this item. Learn More about condition grades
