An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Teaser One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Alien, the classic 1979 Ridley Scott English/U.S. science fiction (sci-fi) space monster horror action thriller ("In space no one can hear you scream."; "a word of warning..."; "Story by Dan O'Bannon & Ronald Shusett") starring Tom Skerritt (as Dallas), Sigourney Weaver (as Ripley), Veronica Cartwright (as Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (as Brett), John Hurt (as Kane), Ian Holm (as Ash), Yaphet Kotto ("as Parker"), and Bolaji Badejo (in the title role as the Alien). Note that fantasy artist H.R. Giger did the wonderful art that was used to create the alien and the alien planet, but his art was not used on any of the regular posters, only on special prints created after the movie became a hit! Important Added Info: Note that this is a teaser one-sheet (note the "ONE SHEET 'ALIEN' TEASER" at bottom right and "COMING FROM TWENTIETH CENTURY-FOX" at bottom center). It is far more rare than the "regular" one-sheet (we have auctioned many times more regular one-sheets as teaser one-sheets), and it has a completely different image (and the image on the regular one-sheet was also used on almost all other U.S. posters, which makes this poster with a completely different image stand out all the more)! Condition: good to very good. The poster was not machine folded, but someone folded it by hand, and the middle horizontal fold is slightly below center, and the other folds are at very slight diagonals. There is a drip water stain that starts in the top border 2" from the left edge and runs all the way down to the middle fold. The black background is discolored along where this stain is, but it is only in the solid black area. There are some light creases along the folds and around the edges of the poster. There are a few small pinholes around the edges. After a relatively simple linenbacking by a top professional, this poster will display really well, but bear the above in mind after bidding.
