Work, the 1915 Charles Chaplin silent slapstick comedy short starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Billy Armstrong, Marta Golden, Charles Inslee, Paddy McGuire, Edna Purviance, and Leo White
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this classic Chaplin short was re-issued (with the changed title of "The Paper Hanger") and it was "Conformed to Sound Speed" and had "Music and Sound Effects". RKO (through its Van Beuren subsidiary) had a similar series of Chaplin re-releases in 1932, and in 1939, a different company bought the rights to the Essanay Chaplins, and re-released a few of them with music and sound added as RKO had. In 1940 exactly, they changed their name to "King of Comedy Film Corp." and re-released ten of the Essanays, and this one was one of those ten 1940 re-releases.

Condition: good. Each has been folded back at one time vertically at center and each has tack holes and faint white paint stains around the edges. The card pictured at top has pencil drawing in Chaplin's face that is partially erased. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
