An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 58 3/4" x 85 1/2" [149 x 217 cm]) (Learn More) Wenn Volker Streiten (literally translates to "When Nations Quarrel"), the 1915 Rino Lupo (also known as Cesare Lupo) German silent World War I (WWI) anti-war pacifism horrors-of-war melodrama short (about two friends, a Frenchman and a German, who become enemies when their nations go to war). Note that this anti-war movie was highly praised when it was made, both for its message and for its production values, which were ahead of its time, and helped create a strong anti-war sentiment. Also note that, given that this movie was made not that long after World War I began, it would certainly seem a strong candidate to be the very FIRST movie ever made bout World War I! If anyone knows more about the above, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: R. Wolff Important Added Info: Note that movie paper of any kind from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this German poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie! Also note that this German poster was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good. The poster has small paper loss at some crossfolds in one section. it has some darkening and faint stains on the part of the poster that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded. The poster has likely survived in about as good condition as one could hope, given the poster's size and age. Learn More about condition grades
