What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had two extra horizontal folds above and below the regular top one. It had paper loss at the top crossfold and smudges, scuffs, creases, and small tears along that top foldline, with a few small tears and smudges on parts of other foldlines. There were smudges, stains, and pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed the poster "as is" without doing restoration, and after it was backed, someone must have accidentally made a razor cut in something that was laying on top of this poster, and it caused a light razor cut across the poster, 2" above the middle fold. The paper is not cut through, but you can clearly see the fine razor cut. Bear all of the above in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
