An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #10 (Jungle Justice) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The King of the Kongo, the 1929 Richard Thorpe Africa action adventure romantic jungle serial ("A Wild Animal Serial in Ten Thrilling Chapters") starring Jacqueline Logan, Walter Miller, Richard Tucker, Boris Karloff, Larry Steers, and Joe Bonomo (famous early strongman, as the gorilla, and he also played one of the gorillas in 1932's "Murders in the Rue Morgue"!). Note that while this movie was released in a silent version, it also had a "part talking" version, which made this the first sound serial! Also note that Boris Karloff did not receive billing on the posters for this serial! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the character the ape is dragging may well be Boris Karloff, but we can't say for certain. If anyone knows for sure, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this auction also includes the front of the printed envelope this item originally came with! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has very slightly darkened around the edges and there is tiny paper loss in three of the blank corners. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Only the front half of the printed bag remains, and it has tears and areas of paper loss around the edges but that does not affect any of the text (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
