This is a really cool two-volume set that tells anybody how to learn to write movie screenplays! They were published in 1922 by the "Palmer Photoplay Corporation" of Los Angeles. The two volumes tell you everything you could possibly want to know about writing a successful screenplay. Volume 1 is a standard hardbound book outlining the elements of a screenplay. Volume 2 is a hardcover three-ring binder that has tabbed sections giving specific instruction on how to write screenplays. Of special interest is a section of "lectures" from the most successful screenwriters of the time, including June Mathis, Jeanne MacPherson, Frank Lloyd, and others. There is also great heavily illustrated section of "illustrated continuity" showing film frames and how you need to write so that there is good continuity in your screenplay. There is a section on censorship, and another on copyright. These are fascinating books! Measurements: from 8" x 11" to 9 1/2" x 11 1/2"Condition: very good to fine. Volume 2 has some minor wear on the covers and there is slight deterioration at the spines of both volumes, but overall, they have survived in really nice condition.
