An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 3/4" x 14" [27 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Skyline, the 1931 Sam Taylor New York City romantic love triangle family relationship Irish immigrant melodrama (based on the novel 'East Side, West Side' by Felix Riesenberg; a wild and implausible story of a young man whose mother tells him on her death bed that the man he thought was his father is not really his father; he meets a man in New York City who befriends him and he falls in love with the man's daughter; he also meets an older construction worker who gives him a job, and the construction worker realizes that the young man is his son!; the young man then falls for a bad woman, not knowing that she had an affair with his own father, who he still does not recognize!; after many complications, everything works out) starring Thomas Meighan, Hardie Albright, Maureen O'Sullivan, Don Dillaway (billed as "Donald Dillaway"; he had some credited roles early on, but never "caught on", but he ended up appearing in 98 movies, almost all uncredited!), and Myrna Loy. Note that the "good" young woman is played by Maureen O'Sullivan (in her sixth movie ever, and two movies before Tarzan the Ape Man, and she was 20 years old). The "bad" woman (who has an affair with both father and son) is played by Myrna Loy, and interestingly, Maureen O'Sullivan is billed over Myrna Loy, who had been in movies for a number of years by this time! We have only auctioned a glass slide and two stills from this movie until we received this lobby card! Note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10 3/4" x 14" [27 x 36 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. Part of the top blank border was trimmed off. The card has darkened throughout. There are pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges, but they mostly only affect the borders. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
