An Original 1972 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese Two-Panel "STB" or "Tatekan" Movie Poster (2p; measures 20" x 57" [51 x 145 cm]) (Learn More) The Stewardesses, the 1969 Al Silliman Jr. 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) sexploitation airplane aviation comedy ("Now at last on the wide-screen- The most talked about girls in America-The one, the only..."; "The unpublishable novel is now America's most controversial film!"; "Meet the fastest girls in the world"; "The SuperSonic SuperStewardesses"; "The Fastest, most beautiful girls in the world"; "For the Stewardesses the ground's the limit"; "Written and Directed by Alf Silliman, Jr.") starring Christina Hart, Michael Garrett, Angelique deMoline, William Basil, Tina Erikson, and Kathy Ferrick. Note that this "softcore" 3D adult film was first released in 1969 with a self-rated X-rating, and was shown in adult theaters in San Francisco and Los Angeles. It soon became very profitable and new footage was shot and added to the film. Eventually, the film had a general release after nudity was removed and the film received an R-rating from the MPAA. Amazingly, the continuous first release of this film was over three years, and it may be the only notable film to be extensively re-shot, edited and updated (as many as 4 times) as it played in theaters. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this Japanese two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). There are tears around the edges and some are repaired with tape from the back. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
