Naya, the circa 1894 French stage poster promoting an appearance by a dancer and entertainer known as Naya, which was to take place at the L'Horloge venue along the Champs-Elysees in Paris, France. Little is known about Naya except that she was sometimes billed as La Reine de la Haute Gomme ("The Queen of High Gum"). Note that this poster features Georges de Feure artwork of Naya performing in a sexy dress. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of a number of folds, and some in non-fold areas. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone many years ago mounted it onto a heavy linen and they only did slight restoration to the defects noted above. Please look at our super-sized image and read the above before bidding on this rare poster.
