An Original Vintage 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) Susan Peters, one of the most tragic, yet oddly forgotten, stories of Hollywood female stars who rise and fall in a short time. She was one of MGM's most promising young female stars in 1943, and she married actor Richard Quine, but in 1945, she was wounded in a hunting accident, and she became paralyzed from the waist down. She appeared in the 1948 movie The Sign of the Ram as a wheelchair-bound matriarch, but without much success (1948 audiences were not very understanding about disabilities), and tragically, she divorced and starved herself to death, dying in 1952 at the age of 31. Some of her other movies include: Random Harvest (in her nominated for Best Supporting Actress Academy Award role), Andy Hardy's Double Life, and The Big Shot AND Lucia Carroll was an actress from the 1940s to the 1950s.
