James Brown was an actor from the 1940s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Irma La Douce, Inside the Mafia, and Black Spurs. He also appeared on TV's "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin" where he played Lt. Ripley "Rip" Masters. Brown passed away in 1992 at the age of 72. He is not to be confused with the famous football player or the famous singer!

Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken" (or in this case, to "Nancy", Ken's wife). The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star.
As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
