An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 10" x 11 1/2" [25 x 29 cm], 110 pages) (Learn More) Tron, the 1982 Steven Lisberger Walt Disney science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy thriller ("Journey now into a startling new dimension where energy lives and breathes."; "A world inside the computer where man has never been. Never before now."; "Trapped in a fight to the finish inside the video world he created."; "The electronic gladiator"; "In the future video game battles will be a matter of life of death.."; "Songs By Journey"; "See the movie. Play the game."; "Story by Steven Lisberger and Bonnie Macbird"; about a hacker who is abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial video games) starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner (in the title role as Tron), David Warner, Cindy Morgan, Barnard Hughes, and Dan Shor NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is part of an amazing find (see below). It is the 1st draft from January 26, 1981 and the screenplay was written by Steven Lisberger & David Rimmer. Note that the first 20 pages of the script have a different color marker line down the right (or part of the right) of each page (we don't know what this signifies). The title page has "#38" written in pen in the top left corner. It also has "NEEDED: Background and incidental dialog, more computer/laser language, development of SARK/DILLINGER character, general polish" (see our image). We wonder exactly what "more computer/laser language" means, or more importantly, what that meant back in the world of 1981, when this was written! The pages of the script are contained in a three-ring binder, which has no markings on it. Note that in 2017, we auctioned a Kodalith animation cel from this movie, and it sold for $401. What is a "Kodalith animation cel"? This was a frame of the movie that was blown up and then a matching animated cel was created, and then layered back over the "live" shot, which resulted in the unique look of this movie, where it appeared that actual human beings were animated (the movie was far ahead of its time!). Now, we have been consigned an amazing find that came from a man connected with the movie. It consists of an actual script from the movie (the first draft), plus one composite pair of film negatives (from the same cel, one of the human actors and one of the animation version), as well as one composite color transparency paired with its black & white, one color transparency by itself, and two different positive print animation cels! These six items are in six separate auctions! Condition: very good. The title page has creases on it and tears in the left border by the top two punch holes. Otherwise, the other pages and the script are in nice condition. See our multiple images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this script. Learn More about condition grades
