A 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Chili Williams (born Marian Sorenson) was an actress and model from the 1940s to the 1950s. She was known as "The Polka-Dot Girl" after a Life magazine pin-up photo of her in a polka dot bikini was published in 1943, which generated over 100,000 fan letters, and made her a favorite World War II pin-up girl. She got a movie contract and had some minor roles, and also had romances with Rory Calhoun and Jack Carson. She was in a scandal when she posed for Earl Moran, and Mrs. Moran walked in on Earl and a nude Chili! Later, she was arrested for breaking into an ex-boyfriend's apartment. After a failed marriage, she married again in 1954 and retired from acting, opening a dress shop in Las Vegas and having a son and daughter. She remained married until she passed away in 2003 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: Note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Condition: good. There is staining and tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner, with creases around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
