An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Wyoming Outlaw, the 1939 George Sherman cowboy western ("Based on the characters created by William Colt McDonald") starring The Three Mesquiteers (John Wayne, Ray 'Crash' Corrigan, and Raymond Hatton), Don 'Red' Barry, Pamela Blake, LeRoy Mason, Charles Middleton, Elmo Lincoln (best remembered for being the very first actor to portray Tarzan in the movies in 1918), Yakima Canutt. Note that this movie was one of several John Wayne quickly made immediately after his star-making role in 1939's "Stagecoach", and first release movie paper of any kind is extremely rare!

Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked, but it was either NOT linenbacked by a very talented restorer, or it was linenbacked many years ago, and has received rough handling over the years. You can see signs of the restoration from a distance. This is a poster that would greatly benefit from additional professional restoration. See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

good. Someone lightly scratched a circle around Wayne's head. There were tears, creases, and small areas of paper loss down the vertical foldline. There were some tears and creases around the edges of the poster. There were some creases across the horizontal foldlines. This poster is an ideal candidate for re-linenbacking! If the poster was re-backed, the restorer can surely make the poster's above defects less noticeable, and this poster would look quite nice!
