An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 11" x 17"; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Beast That Killed Women, the 1965 Barry Mahon sexploitation horror thriller ("Terror Strikes"; "in Bloody Panic Color") starring Darlene Bennett, Dolores Carlos, Gigi Darlene, Barry Mahon, and June Roberts. Note that director Barry Mahon had a fascinating life that could fill several movies! He was an American pilot for England in World War II and he was shot down and put in a POW camp, and he escaped and was the basis for the Steve McQueen character in the movie "The Great Escape" (Mahon also loved motorcycles). He became Errol Flynn's pilot and later Errol Flynn's manager. He then made many sexploitation "nudie cuties" movies in the 1950s and 1960s, but at the end of his career, he made a drastic shift, and made several children's movies (perhaps he found religion?). You can click on his name for a more complete version of this biography of his life. If anyone knows more about this movie or Mahon's drastic career changes, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this pressbook is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of any supplements or heralds (if there are any included with this pressbook), but of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are selling (plus any supplements or heralds)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Finally, note that this poster contains partially unclothed women, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have those white bars! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. Learn More about condition grades
