An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Red Badge of Courage, the 1951 John Huston Civil War military coming-of-age thriller ("MGM presents Stephen Crane's great American story of the Civil War"; based on the novel by Stephen Crane) starring Audie Murphy (as Henry Fleming), Bill Mauldin (the famous cartoonist in his 2nd and last movie), Andy Devine, Robert Easton, Douglas Dick, Tim Durant, and John Dierkes (as "The Tall Soldier") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and extra creases on parts of some foldlines. There were pinholes around the edges with paper loss in the top right corner and a 4" horizontal tear in the top center, in the white background area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
