Date Sold 1/26/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 11 Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 10" [19 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) The Hidden Eye, the 1945 Richard Whorf canine German Shepherd dog seeing-eye-dog detective crime mystery thriller ("New adventures of the blind detective and his seeing eye dog!"; "From a story by George Harmon Coxe") starring Edward Arnold, Frances Rafferty, Ray Collins, Paul Langton, William 'Bill' Phillips, and Friday (the German Shepherd dog; "Played by Himself"). Note that three years earlier, Edward Arnold had played the same character in "Eyes in the Night", and he was a blind detective with a seeing-eye-dog named Friday (played by the same canine actor), but oddly, that dog made no other movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 11 STILLS, BUT ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 11 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the eight pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best eight stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Note that these stills have been trimmed and they now measure 7 1/2" x 10" [19 x 25 cm]. Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (usually ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture eight of the stills on most of the black and white lots). We tried to note when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we may not have caught that every time, so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot (there also may be a very few of the lots with eight or less stills that have a duplicate in them, but that is far less likely and you could see them in our photo). Condition: good. The bottom border has been trimmed from some of the stills. There are some areas of tearing and tattering around the edges of the stills that have been repaired with tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
