Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Kraftbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Notorious Lady, the 1927 King Baggot silent romantic crime murder thriller ("From Sir Patrick Hastings's novel 'The River'"; about a British Army officer who kills a man he finds in his wife's room, although she is innocent of any wrong the wife claims to be guilty of adultery to save her husband from a death sentence) starring Lewis Stone, Barbara Bedford, Francis McDonald, Ann Rork, and Earl Metcalfe NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look marvelous! Condition: good to very good. Other than being kraftbacked the poster is in good to very good condition. Someone drew a pen mustache and goatee on the girl at top left. There are two small areas of surface paper loss in Stone's neck and chest. There is a layer of dirt and smudges over the entire poster, but it is mostly noticeable in the white areas. There are pinholes in the corners and at the top and bottom center. This poster can be linenbacked, and the restorer can remove just about all of the dirt and stains and repair its defects, and it would look great! But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects. Learn More about condition grades
