Zanuck"; about a hot shot American pilot in the days just before the U.S. entered World War II, who cares only about himself, but he goes to England and meets an old girlfriend who is now in the R.A.F., and he joins in an effort to win her back, and in doing so, comes to realize why the Allies were fighting in World War II) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Betty Grable, John Sutton, Reginald Gardiner, Gladys Cooper, and Ralph Byrd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say exactly when this daybill was first released, or if it is from the first Australian release of this movie. Most daybills in 1941 were printed in a smaller size (to conserve on paper), so this could be from later in the 1940s, and it COULD possibly be from a very early re-release. If anyone knows for sure if this is from the first release, and in what year it was released, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had extra creases and a few tiny tears in the left half of the foldlines and creases and stains in the top left corner. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
