An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (released in England as "Teenage Frankenstein"), the 1957 Herbert L. Strock monster horror thriller ("Body of a boy! Mind of a monster! Soul of an unearthly thing!") starring Whit Bissell, Phyllis Coates, Robert Burton, Gary Conway (in the title role as the monster), and George Lynn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. Note that there is a large oval-shaped tear in the right of the monster's face. It is approximately 1" wide at the top and grows to 2" wide at the bottom. It is torn on three sides, but is not torn at the top (which is at the middle foldline). It is a pretty clean tear, but there is surface paper loss to the left of the bottom left of the tear in the monster's face by its mouth and another area to the left of that below the monster's lip. There are several other small areas of paper loss below and to the right of those areas. There are areas of surface paper loss in a semi-circle in the bottom of the inset red box at top right, and surface paper loss in the middle of the last "E" of "TEENAGE" in the title. There is tape on the front of the top and bottom border. While this poster does have significant defects, it is in pretty good condition other than the above defects. If a talented restorer paperbacked the poster, they would need to touch up the areas of surface paper loss (and, of course, mend the long tear), but after proper restoration, this poster would look great, and there would only be paint restoration in the exact areas of surface paper loss seen in our image.
