An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Lifeforce (released in Italy as "Space Vampires"), the 1985 Tobe Hooper science fiction (sci-fi) space-vampire horror thriller ("In the blink of an eye, the terror begins."; "From the Director of Poltergeist"; "The cinematic Sci-Fi event of the Eighties"; "Based on the novel 'The Space Vampires' by Colin Wilson"; "Screenplay by Dan O'Bannon and Don Jakoby") starring Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Frank Finlay, Nicholas Ball, Mathilda May (billed as "Introducing Mathilda May"), and Patrick Stewart. Note that the Italian distributor of this movie very cleverly re-titled it "Space Vampires" and created four different Italian one-panel images (plus other different images on the one-sheet, locandina, and photobusta set), all with naked women in outrageous poses, and we imagine the movie did really well at the Italian box office! In May of 2023 we were consigned two different Italian one-panel posters from this movie (one which we had never auctioned before, and one which we had only auctioned once before) and both of them had completely different wild nude images (with the alternate Italian title "Space Vampires"), and they sold for $500 and $300! That caused a collector to send us this Italian one-sheet, plus a locandina and a photobusta set for this title, NONE of which we have ever auctioned before (the other two items are in twp separate auctions)! Note also that this Italian one-sheet measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good.
