An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 56 pages) (Learn More)

Republic 1944-45, the 1944 campaign book designed to promote Republic's upcoming movies for the 1944-1945 season. The book has 60 pages and many of them have an added 4 inch flap on the left side of the page that opens up to form a much larger 2-page image (and the flap also has information about movies printed on it; see our image of one of these). Some of the movies advertised with 2-page ads include Flame of Barbary Coast, Lake Placid Serenade, Moon Over Tahiti, The Phantom Speaks, A Fabulous Texan, Gay Blades, The Night Train to Memphis, Earl Carroll's Vanities, plus a two-page spread for Gene Autry, and more! This year, Republic made this book for their regular movies and serials, and also a separate 12-page book just for their serials, and both are incredibly rare.

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this campaign book, and we only once auctioned the 12-page serial version!

Condition: fair to good. Sadly, the covers are missing and there is a tear on the first interior page, but, as noted above, this book is incredibly rare, and we don't know of another example!
