An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26 1/2" x 39 1/2" [67 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Thunderbirds, the 1952 John H. Auer World War II (WWII) National Guard military airplane aviation pilot romantic melodrama ("They had nothing to lose but their lives... AND THEY KNEW IT!!"; "Story by Kenneth Gamet"; about an Oklahoma National Guard unit consisting mostly of Native American Indians) starring John Derek, John Drew Barrymore (billed as "John Barrymore Jr."; in his fifth movie role!), Mona Freeman, Gene Evans, Eileen Christy, Ward Bond, and Barton MacLane NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 26 1/2" x 39 1/2" [67 x 100 cm]. Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: fair to good. Some of the edges were trimmed from the poster. After the poster was mounted onto the paper, the borders of the paper were folded over the front of the borders of the poster and glued down (and those areas have subsequently been trimmed off of the poster.) There is a censor stamp at upper right, and a foreign title and distributor snipe glued to the title area. Learn More about condition grades
