Date Sold 4/26/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Unfolded German Advertising Poster (measures 33" x 46 3/4" [84 x 119 cm]) (Learn More) Diamant (literally translates to "Diamond") is the brand name of the first German household flour which was registered in 1895 by Georg Plange. Plange first presented his flour at the World's Fair in Vienna in 1873 and he named it Kaisermehl (Kaiser flour) after it won an award. However, after Kaiser Wilhelm II dismissed Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, Plange changed the title of the flour in protest. Plange was the first miller to pack his flour into budget-friendly units and distribute them as household flour. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Please note that this is one of the first 226 items we are currently auctioning in this set of auctions are mostly non-movie posters (and most of them are from countries outside the U.S.). It occurred to us that it makes far more sense to auction these in our auction of "special posters" (which also includes lots of non-movie posters) than in our auctions of "oversized rolled" items that include many U.S. posters (like banners, 40x60s, etc). This item needs to be shipped in a tube over 30" (perhaps much longer). WHILE IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THIS POSTER CAN BE COMBINED WITH THE 773 SPECIAL POSTERS THAT FOLLOWS THE FIRST 226, THERE ARE ALSO MANY CASES WHERE IT CAN NOT BE COMBINED. The main reason for this would be if you buy many of the regular posters and a small number of the very oversized ones. If they were combined, the very oversized one would surely become damaged, so in that case, it would need to go in its own tube, and please bear this in mind before bidding on this very oversized poster. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
