Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this English three-sheet before (and we have never auctioned a poster larger than a one-sheet before). Note that this movie was released in England in 1941, when there was a massive paper shortage due to World War II. Many posters at that time were printed on the back of other posters, or sections of other posters. In the case of this particular poster, the small bottom section was printed on the back of part of another poster, but the top section, which is the bulk of the poster, was not printed on the back of another poster! That bottom section was printed on the back of another poster, and there is "bleed-through" from the printing on the back in the solid red areas. The poster on the other side of the bottom, which is part of a larger poster, was oddly a 1916 English three-sheet from "His Daughter's Dilemma", but it is solely the top one-third of that poster. Also note that this English three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap, and when combined, the poster measures 40" x 88 1/4" [102 x 224 cm].

Condition: very good. The small bottom section was printed on the back of part of another poster (see above). There is bleed-through from that printing in the solid red areas below the title and in the credits. Otherwise, the poster has some tears in the borders and some pretty fold wear. Given that it is remarkable that this poster survives at all, it seems fair to say that it has survived in pretty nice condition (see our image).
