An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

Titanic, the 1953 Jean Negulesco ocean liner action disaster tragedy melodrama ("Titanic in Emotion... In Spectacle... In Climax... In Cast!"; "Written by Charles Brackett, Walter Reisch, and Richard Breen"; based on the classic true story) starring Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Wagner, Audrey Dalton, Thelma Ritter, Brian Aherne, Richard Basehart, Allyn Joslyn, James Todd, Frances Bergen, and William Johnstone. Note that the recent discovery that the Titanic broke into three pieces and not two casts severe doubt on the sequence of events of the sinking as portrayed in this movie and several others. It now seems far more likely that the ship sank in a very short period of time, and that the passengers had little chance to perform any of the things they are shown doing in the various movie adaptations of this tragic event!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is one of ten British quads that were consigned to us by a man who has worked in the film industry for many years. A long time ago, he acquired these British quads when he worked with 20th Century-Fox, and he has kept them carefully stored for many years, which accounts for some of them being in wonderful condition (the condition varies, as can be seen by visiting the ten auctions)! Anyone who collects British quads knows how rare it is to find ones from the 1950s in any condition, and to find them in at all nice condition almost never happens. This is a rare opportunity to acquire these ultra scarce posters (which, of course, are in ten separate auctions)! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fine. The poster was tri-folded only and has very minor wear on the foldlines.
