An Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

The Forgotten Step, the 1938 Leslie Fenton slice-of-life melodrama short subject ("as Told by John Nesbitt"; this entry in the series told the story of a wealthy art collector who lost his fortune in a stock market crash, and who then got the wacky idea to send his entire art collection on a ship, and to insure it for far more than its value, and to include a bomb with the art, which would be detonated, and he would then collect the insurance money; he apparently forgot a step, and the bomb went off as the collection was being loaded, killing the man, but saving the lives of everyone on the ship!). Note that this was one of a series of 64 MGM "Miniature" short subjects produced and narrated by John Nesbitt, made between 1938 and 1949, and distributed by MGM.
