She is certainly best remembered for her role as Lola in Damn Yankees (both the stage and screen versions)! She was married to Bob Fosse and retired for six years to raise their daughter, but she came out of retirement to star in his stage production of Sweet Charity. Verdon passed away in 2000 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Gwen Verdon! Note that this magazine includes a small sheet of program corrections. Note that our consignor purchased a large collection of playbills from someone who had attended the shows, and that person had gotten autographs at the show on a small number of their playbills, and this is one of those.
