An Original 1923 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Danish Movie Program (measures 4 1/2" x 6" [11 x 15 cm]; 31 pages) (Learn More)

Robin Hood, the 1922 Allan Dwan silent medieval romantic fantasy adventure melodrama ("Story by Elton Thomas"; based on ancient English legends) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title role as Robin Hood), Alan Hale Sr. (as Little John), Wallace Beery (as King Richard the Lion-Hearted), Sam De Grasse (as Prince John), Enid Bennett (as Lady Marian), William Lowery (as the Sheriff of Nottingham), Willard Louis (as Friar Tuck) and Bud Geary (as Will Scarlett). Of course, this movie was remade in 1938 with Errol Flynn in the lead role, and the movie was retitled to "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (and Alan Hale Sr. amazingly reprises his role of Little John, 16 years after the first time he played the role).

Important Added Info: Note that this is a program printed for general theaters in Denmark which is filled a plot summary of the movie and a number of black and white images from the film. We have previously auctioned a different program that was specifically for the Aladdin Theatre (but that one only had one small headshot of Fairbanks and two small artwork images of him). Perhaps the Aladdin Theatre was the theater that premiered the movie in Denmark, but we don't know. This program has a stamp on the cover for the Kino Theatre, but it is not printed on it. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we have pictured the front and back covers and an interior 2-page spread from this program.

Condition: very good to fine.
