An Original 1950 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Folded Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 24 1/4" x 34" [62 x 86 cm]) (Learn More)

Rotation, the 1949 Wolfgang Staudte East German World War II (WWII) Nazi Germany family relationship melodrama (set right after the Nazis come to power; a man wants no part of the Nazi party, but he can't find work, and he ends up working for a Nazi printer; his brother in law, who fled Germany, returns to be part of the resistance, and he asks his brother in law to use his printing job to print pamphlets for the resistance, and he agrees, after his Jewish neighbors are taken away, and when his son discovers one of the pamphlets, he denounces his father and uncle to the Nazi party, and the film is told in flashback from the father's jail cell) starring Paul Esser, Irene Korb, Karl Heinz Deickert, Reinhold Bernt, and Reinhard Kolldehoff. Note that this is a very powerful and moving movie that was made soon after the end of World War II in East Germany. However, it is very little known outside of Germany, except by major film buffs, which seems a shame.
