An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 23" x 32 1/4" [58 x 82 cm]) (Learn More)

Rodnye Polya (released in the U.S. as "Native Fields"), the 1945 Boris Babochkin & Anatoli Bosulayev Russian World War II (WWII) Home Front collective farm melodrama (during World War II, almost all young Russian men were in the military, so the collective farms were worked primarily by women and children; this movie deals with one particular collective farm, where one man has been left to run it after all the other men have gone to war, and he manages to keep the farm productive so that they can send lots of food to the soldiers) starring Vasili Vanin, Olga Vikladt, Nina Nikitina, Anastasiya Zueva, and Yelizaveta Kuzyurina. Note that there were many Russian films like this made during World War II to try to keep up the morale of the people at home, and to encourage them to make sacrifices to support the soldiers fighting in the war!
Artist: Richkov
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Russian movie! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. Most of the credits area at upper right has been torn from the poster and repaired with tape from the back (see our image). There is small paper loss in the man's face at right and there is a semi-circular tear at left in the center horizontal fold. After linenbacking with some proper restoration the very rare Russian poster should display pretty well.
