Ruby Goldstein was a Jewish American boxer and prizefight referee. Goldstein boxed from 1925 to 1937, with a 54-6 record, including 38 knockouts. He was also a referee (including at the first Floyd Patterson/Ingemar Johansson fight, the Sugar Ray Robinson/Joey Maxim fight, etc.) until 1962, when Benny 'Kid' Paret tragically died from injuries sustained in a match Goldstein presided over, and Mr. Goldstein felt he could not continue. He passed away in 1984 at the age of 76, and in 1994, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame!
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Ruby Goldstein on the first blank interior page (see our image). Our consignor has no certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Condition: good. The inside flap of the front cover of the dust jacket is almost completely separated. There is much wear around the edges of the jacket, and there is light scuffing on the front and back of the jacket. The book itself is in pretty good condition (see our images).
