He won praise from critics for King Vidor's The Crowd, which was his first major role. Unfortunately, the pressures of Hollywood got to him and he eventually became an alcoholic who could not hold down a job. He became homeless, and when he coincidentally ran into King Vidor while begging for change, he refused Vidor's offer of an acting job. His body was discovered in the Hudson river in 1936. He was 35. Some of his movies include: The Big City, The Shakedown, and Heroes for Sale Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm]. Condition: good to very good.
